IRA Charitable Distributions

Thanks to the IRA charitable rollover extension, your gifts to the Save Our Souls Foundation in 2009 can:

• Count toward your required minimum distributions, and
• Be excluded from your gross income—a tax free rollover.

For your gift to qualify for benefits under the extension:

• You must be 70½ or older at the time you make your gift
• The transfer must go directly from the IRA to the Women's Foundation of California
• Your total IRA gift(s) cannot exceed $100,000 per year
• Your gift must be outright
